You have more control than you realize over the “optics” of how people see your messages.
WHAT YOU DO MATTERS. NOW MORE THAN EVER.
YESENTIALS® THE ESSENTIALS OF YES.
Behavior 5: Be Mindful (Why “Framing” is a Force Multiplier)
Today everyone in Business is feeling anxiety and confronted with risk, this behavior is about creating the appropriate framing to “presuade” (curating and controlling the environment BEFORE you make a request)– and using the brain’s fastest trigger, which scientists call Perceptual Contrast. This concept underlies all the behavioral shortcuts from behavioral psychology referred to as “cognitive biases.”
You have more power than you realize to change the outcomes of your client interactions by intentionally creating the cues in the environment that will lead to those positive outcomes.
In this week’s video I define the concept and show how it can be applied to influence your Clients and your Team– and even to influence yourself.
(PS: If you have seen my summary course, remember the Three Buckets.)
What you do matters and Smart Leaders apply brain science to make Better Decisions, and achieve Extraordinary Results.
Focus on the YESENTIALS®– the behaviors that can optimize your customer’s experience. Consider how focusing on one each week can lead to exponential improvement over time– as it did for Ritz Carlton over the last decades and Ben Franklin in the 1700’s.
Remember the math:
“IMPROVE 1% A WEEK AND IN 70 WEEKS YOU ARE TWICE AS GOOD.”
My Goal with these VIDEOS is to contribute something ‘Utile et Dulce’ as the ancients said, both Useful and Pleasing; and we have been delivering 2-3 webcasts a week together with Corporate Teams and Associations. Click here to send me a note if you are interested in a custom webcast for your Team.
