The waiting is the hardest part…

…But there is light ahead.
The light we need to start growing again.

Hard Truth and Good News*
Tom Petty sang, “The waiting is the hardest part
Every day you see one more card
You take it on faith, you take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part.”

*REALLY GOOD NEWS THIS PAST WEEK
We’re in “the waiting” now, but as of this week 3 of the 4 leading global vaccine projects have reported positive results in producing antibodies to COVID-19 (the J&J vaccine has not yet reported results, but will shortly)
As of today Sunday 7/5/20 the first 3 vaccines (from Astra, Pfizer and Moderna) are entering Phase III human trials: the Astra/Oxford University vaccine is already well into Phase III (14,000 people combined in the UK, South Africa and Brazil– and will be tested in US in Sept) with the program lead projecting “multiple year immunity” from the virus; the WSJ reported on Weds that patients that received the Pfizer vaccine had higher levels of antibodies to COVID-19 four weeks after being vaccinated, compared with the antibody levels in recovered Covid-19 patients who didn’t get the shots (two are required), with no serious side effects observed; the third horse in the race is the Moderna vaccine– both Pfizer and Moderna are enrolling 30,000 people each for this month’s tests. Like now– they are enrolling now– so if you are interested in participating yourself you can look them up with a few mouse clicks, the Journal says they need folks in hot spot areas to volunteer: like me in Florida (I submitted my info an hour ago), and some of you in Texas, Arizona and California.
There is light ahead.

Use that light to start growing again.
